About The Course: Listening, Looking, and Thinking About Music
The purpose of this course is to explore how the audience can participate fully in the creative experience of a musical event by careful listening, looking to see what is happening on stage and behind the scenes, and thinking about the role that music plays in the communication of ideas and feelings. These aspects of the audience experience may interact in many different ways, and we will explore them in great depth, encouraging the audience to become more active participants in the concert experience.
We will use specific examples from the Symphony NH season in progress as well as presenting recorded excerpts from multiple (and sometimes very different) performances. There will be ample time for discussion and for attendees to ask questions and share ideas.
This is part of a series with the final class on
Monday, April 2nd at 8 pm
Parking is available at Temple Beth Abraham
