The event comes on the heels of an eighteen month-long search, featuring nine finalists in concerts spanning the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons. The new Music Director is expected to join the orchestra in Fall 2019 for the orchestra’s 96th season. Several candidates hold positions at esteemed American orchestras such as Nashville Symphony, Pacific Symphony, Chicago Opera Theater, and San Diego Symphony, among others.
